ONLINE EDUCATION : AN OPPORTUNITY OF FUTURE
One of the biggest casualties of the covid -19 pandemic and resultant lockdown has been institutionalised education . Schools are shut to prevent the spread of the virus .
This has given the way to the online study/classroom ,A very new concept in india .Online education ,a result of the digital world has brought a lot of learning table at all of education ,beginning from pre school to higher level institution
It's commendable how Easily Directorate of Education,Delhi NCR has moved to the virtual classroom .Google Meet, Google Education , Hangouts ,zoom , Microsoft provide the platform for the interaction.
The teachers & the school are putting extra effort to engage student by the daily activities (happiness ,Emc activies ),Math activities by Khan academy and English Also.Revamping time table , feedbacks are the parts of the Teaching -learning activities.
Monitoring by the whatsapp group have minimizes the student- teacher gap.Youtube have become the platform providing the qualitative study material.
All of which play an important role in this transformation with development of ICT in education , online videos , graphics , e-notes, e-book .
#Regulations
USE of the the device is not an issue but making it effective use is more important , therefore it requires more monitoring & also planning to keep monitoring.
The MHRD ministry is promoting E -Learning -one Nation ,one Digital platform.
There are following programme launched by MHRD.
1) NCERT Signed MoU with ROTARY india humanity foundation for telecasting E-learning content for class 1-12 over NCERT TV CHANNEL (Eco.times 10june)
-Under VIDHYA DAAN 2.0 Rotary international will provide e -content in hindi for class I to class XII for all subject.
-also to reach the student through radio & Tv where there is no internet connection.
2) Integrating the various schemes & initiative like operation Digital Board ,Diksha ,E-pathsala, Swayam, swayam prabha
3)Over 25 lakh register from 60 countries availing swayam and other digital platform .
Videos of swayam prabha DTHchannel are viewed by around 50000 people per day
43000 people accessed national digital library (eco.times march29,2020)
Challenges
Digital Divide
1) Only 4.4rural household with computer,14.9% rural household with internet
2)urban household with computer 23.4% & with internet it's 42%

So ,there is big digital divide which is challenge
Conclusion
The Pandemic Covid affected the entire Education system so Online Education fullfull the gap education and provide an opportunity to cope up with the problem . There is heavy need to Strengthen and Digitalize in education creating E-learing , accurate , update study material easily available for all so that student can access quality education through e-learning -one Nation,one Digital platform.
